Nami showed up hungry and needy in the yard of a Montreal family who took her under their wing while they found her a foster home. That's how Nami arrived at her Animal Rescue Network foster home in August 2024. Nami is a little cat full of tenderness and energy. She quickly felt at home with her foster family, adapting quickly and with great confidence. She loves playing with her fishing rod, purring intensely in her foster mom's arms and being held. Very greedy, she will be easily motivated by food, which will be an asset for her future training, especially to stop nibbling.
Nami is still very much a baby, and sometimes nips your fingers or toes when she's overexcited or trying to get our attention. A small detail to be taken into account for her future family. She eats a specialized diet for her gastrointestinal system.
Although she's very comfortable with the members of her foster family, Nami remains a little shy around strangers. She needs time to familiarize herself with new people and feel confident. Nami travels well in the car, remaining quietly in her carrier without meowing.
Nami would be happy in a family without other animals. She's quite reactive to the sight of them. On the other hand, she loves people! She often chatters and loves to be held. She rolls onto her back to have her belly scratched and begs to be petted. Nami deserves to finally find her forever family, who will provide her with a stable, caring home.
Nami is an adult cat so the adoption fees for her are $290. She is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation during the first month following the adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).
In order to get a chance to adopt her, please fill out our adoption directly on our website: https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/contacts/adoption-form/
