Ébène (Ebony), our little warrior, is looking for her forever family! Ébène was found in August 2023, barely 2 months old, dying on the sidewalk after being attacked by a wild animal. Suffering from multiple bites, she was cared for by the Animal Rescue Network and taken to the veterinary emergency room: the poor thing was very weak, her wounds were very impressive and we didn't know if she'd keep her eyes as they were so infected. What's more, Ébène developed panleukopenia, a fatal disease in 50-90% of cases. Despite everything, Ébène wanted to live, and thanks to the care she received, her wounds gradually healed. Today, Ébène has hardly any after-effects of her experience: her eyes are beautiful and she's in great shape. She just has a small white scar above her eye. Ébène is a lively little cat, very close to her humans. She loves spending time with her family, getting petted, playing, and sleeping close to them. Her mini flaw: beware of your socks and tea towels! Ébène "steals" them and you'll find them everywhere: on the bed, under the sofa, etc...Ébène would feel at home in a family with many members ready to give her lots of attention. Thanks to her gentle, affectionate nature, Ébène would suit a family with children, for example. She is also very fond of other cats and would be happy to have a feline companion. Because of her past experience, Ébène remains fearful of dogs and large animals and would not be suitable for adoption by a family with one. Ébène is a kitten so the adoption fees for her are $340. She is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. She tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and for the feline leukaemia virus (FeLV). Health insurances are offered for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the help of the adoption team as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation within the first month following adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).
