Giovani arrived at the Animal Rescue Network in April 2023 after being abandoned by his family at the vet. Giovani was severely overweight and had 2 fractured hind legs. His family didn't want to pay for expensive surgery, so the decision was made that Giovani would be surrendered to the veterinary hospital. The shelter was then contacted to take Giovani in and pay the bill. Poor cat. A big, strong boy just begging for affection! Despite the pain and the care, he remained a good big tomcat. He was placed in a foster home with one of our volunteers for his convalescence. Now cured, Giovani is ready for adoption! He's good-natured and gentle, but likes to chew when he wants to play. He's quite vocal early in the morning, because he wants his portion of wet food. A real king! He still has difficulty jumping up, so we have to help him onto the bed when he wants to join us. He's perfect and gets on well with the other animals in his foster home. Giovani is an adult cat therefore the adoption fees for him are $290. He is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation within the first month following adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).
