Johnson est arrivé au Réseau Secours Animal en juin 2022 avoir avoir vécu toute sa vie en situation d'errance avec son frère. Ils ont été nourris par des gens du quartier Montréal-Nord pendant 6-7 ans. Les deux chats ont été sauvés par une personne bienveillante, mais malheureusement au moment de la stérilisation le frère de Johnson a eu des complications et n'a pas survécu. Quand la personne qui l'a sauvé a appris qu'il avait le virus de l'immunodéficience féline (VIF), elle a décidé de lui chercher un refuge puisqu'elle savait qu'il serait trop difficile à faire adopter par elle-même. Pour plus d'information sur le VIF:  https://www.veterinairesaucanada.net/documents/virus-de-immunodeficience-feline-fiv À son arrivée au refuge, il était clair que Johnson n'allait pas très bien. Il faisait de l'anémie et il avait des grosses conjonctivites aux deux yeux. Finalement, il s'avérait que Johnson avait aussi des entropions aux yeux ce qui demandaient une chirurgie. Ses dents étaient dans un piètre état, donc nous avons aussi dû faire une chirurgie dentaire dispendieuse pour le remettre sur pied. Maintenant que tout cela est fait, Johnson est prêt à trouver sa famille pour la vie! Il était très très peureux à son arrivée chez nous, mais il va maintenant mieux. Il veut qu'on l'approche doucement, mais par la suite il s'avance le cou pour recevoir des gratouilles à profusion. C'est un chat charmant avec une grosse tête adorable. Il s'entend bien avec les autres chats du refuge donc pourrait très bien être adopté par une famille ayant d'autres chats. Il ne pourrait pas par contre habiter avec des enfants. Johnson se cherche une famille patiente, aimante qui souhaitera le mettre à l'aise à la maison en lui offrant tout le calme et la douceur dont il a besoin. Johnson est un chat adulte donc les frais d'adoption pour lui sont de 270$. Il est stérilisé, vacciné et  micropucé. Il est positif pour  le virus de l'immunodéficience féline (VIF), mais négatif pour la leucose féline (FeLV). Des assurances santé de 6 semaines viennent avec son adoption. Johnson came to the Animal Rescue Network in June of 2022 after a lifetime of living on the streets with his brother. They had been feeded by people in the Montreal North neighborhood for 6-7 years. Both cats were rescued by a kind person, but unfortunately at the time of sterilization Johnson's brother had complications and did not survive. He was anemic and had severe conjunctivitis in both eyes. Eventually, it turned out that Johnson also had entropions in his eyes which required surgery. His teeth were in poor condition, so we also had to do expensive dental surgery to get him back on his feet. Now that all that is done, Johnson is ready to find his family for life! He was very, very fearful when he first came to us, but he is now doing better. He wants to be approached gently, but then he will stick his neck out for lots of scratching. He is a charming cat with a big adorable head. He gets along well with the other cats in the shelter and could be adopted by a family with other cats. He would not be able to live with children. Johnson is looking for a patient, loving family who will make him comfortable at home by offering him all the peace and quiet he needs. Johnson is an adult cat so the adoption fees for him are $270. He is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. He is positive for the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) but negative for the feline leukaemia virus (FeLV).
