Alfie est arrivée au Réseau Secours Animal en juillet 2021 avec ses copains Artémis, Alexis, Aladin, Aragorn, Alessio et Anita suite à une saisie impliquant la SPCA chez un éleveur ayant 60 abyssins non stérilisés dans un 4 1/2. Arrivés en piètre état, ils ont tous dû être soignés avant tout chose. Alfie et ses compagnons ont aussi tous été malades: rhinotrachéites, calicivirus, conjonctivites, etc. Alfie a aussi dû recevoir des soins dentaires (nettoyage + extractions) en novembre 2022 aux frais du refuge. Heureusement, maintenant Alfie va mieux et elle est prête à se faire adopter. Alfie est chatte douce qui a besoin de patience et de douceur. Ses copains abyssins ont tous été adoptés depuis plus d'un an, mais Alfie a pris plus de temps pour accepter le contact humain et l'apprécier. Elle se laisse maintenant caresser lorsqu'on l'approche doucement et va même jusqu'à ronronner profusément. Par contre, il lui arrive aussi souvent de fuir lorsqu'on l'approche puisqu'elle a peur. Elle s'entend très bien avec les autres chats et aimerait trouver une famille qui a un chat très sociable. Cela aiderait Alfie à se sentir à l'aise dans sa nouvelle maison. Étant donné son tempérament timide, Alfie ne serait pas un bon match pour une famille avec de jeunes enfants. Elle préférera un environnement calme à la maison. Elle est minuscule, ce qui la rend encore plus charmante! Elle est très vocale et nous fait savoir lorsqu'elle a envie de manger ou de jouer! Alfie a la santé fragile et a besoin d'une famille qui saura lui fournir les meilleurs soins. Alfie est un chat adulte et est un chat de race abyssin, donc les frais d'adoption pour elle sont de 500$. Elle est stérilisée, vaccinée, micropucée et négative pour le virus de l'immunodéficience féline (VIF) ainsi que la leucose féline (FeLV). Des assurances santé de 6 semaines viennent avec son adoption. They all arrived in poor condition and had to be treated first. Alfie and his companions were also all sick: rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, conjunctivitis, etc. Alfie also had to receive dental care (cleaning + extractions) in November 2022 at the shelter's expense. Fortunately, Alfie is now better and ready to be adopted. Alfie is a sweet cat who needs to be patient and gentle. Her Abyssinian pals have all been adopted for over a year, but Alfie has taken more time to accept and enjoy human contact. She now lets herself be stroked when approached gently and even purrs profusely. However, she often runs away when approached because she is afraid. She gets along very well with other cats and would love to find a family that has a very social cat. This would help Alfie feel comfortable in her new home. Given her shy temperament, Alfie would not be a good match for a family with young children. She would prefer a quiet environment at home. She is tiny, which makes her even more charming! She is very vocal and lets us know when she wants to eat or play! Alfie's health is fragile and she needs a family that will provide her with the best care. Alfie is an adult cat and is an abyssinian cat, so the adoption fee for her is $500. She is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption.
