Lilibet, or Lili to her friends, is an adorable little panther. She was surrendered to us by Sauvetage Animal Rescue in September after she was found meowing in pain and amorphous in an alley, unable to move. She was diagnosed with hepatic lipidosis which resulted in ataxia. She was given proper treatment and is now cured! She still has sometimes small losses of balance or strange head movements due to her ataxia. This could completely disappear with time. It does not prevent her from running, jumping, etc. Lilibet is still very young! Lili likes humans, but hates her feline friends. For this reason, Lili will have to be the only cat in her adoptive family. However, she could live with children old enough to understand how to interact with a cat. Lili can be carried around and her nails clipped without too much trouble. She loves to be petted and likes to be groomed on her neck and lower back; she is a great purr. She sleeps with her human and comes to lay on you, but only when you are asleep! She is just beginning to discover play and prefers to nap in her little bed or look outside while perched on her cat tree. Following the recommendations of the vet, Lili is on a diet, because she is a bit overweight. She eats specialized kibbles in an interactive bowl in several portions every day to avoid that she eats everything at once. Who will be lucky enough to welcome this little marvel into their forever home? Lilibet is older than a year old so the adoption fees for her are $270. She is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. She tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and for the feline leukaemia virus (FeLV). Health insurances are offered for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the help of the adoption team as long as you need it. You will also have access, for the first month following adoption, to a 30 minutes video consultation with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).
