Maëlan a une triste histoire...Il a été abandonné le 1er juillet 2022 devant la porte du refuge, en plein soleil en pleine canicule. Il aurait pu y rester des heures si une de nos bénévoles n'avait pas été au refuge à ce moment même. Heureusement pour Maëlan, nous avions une place pour lui. À l'âge de 8 ans, Maëlan n'était pas stérilisé, il souffrait d'un début d'insuffisance rénale et il avait la bouche en piteux état. Il a reçu de meilleurs soins au Réseau Secours Animal qu'en habitant dans son ancienne famille malheureusement... Le refuge s'est chargé de remettre Maëlan sur pied afin de lui offrir une meilleure vie. Son début d'insuffisance rénale fait en sorte qu'il doit recevoir des fluides presque tous les jours. Malgré tout, il va très bien et adore les humains. Il est très curieux et affectueux! C'est un vrai trésor. Maëlan est un vrai petit glouton. Il a vraiment vécu un enfer pour arrivé chez nous et il cherche maintenant sa famille pour la vie. Qui aura un grand coeur et désirera accueillir Maëlan dans sa vie? Maëlan est un chat adulte donc les frais d'adoption pour lui sont de 270$. Il est stérilisé, vacciné et micropucé. Il a été testé négatif pour le virus de l'immunodéficience féline (VIF) et pour la leucose féline (FeLV). Des assurances santé de 6 semaines viennent avec son adoption. Vous pourrez avoir recours à l'aide de l'équipe des adoptions aussi longtemps que vous en aurez besoin. Vous avez aussi droit, dans le premier mois suivant l'adoption, à une consultation vidéo de 30 minutes gratuite avec notre consultante en comportement félin FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).

He could have stayed there for hours if one of our volunteers had not been at the shelter at that very moment. Fortunately for Maëlan, we had a place for him. At the age of 8, Maëlan was not neutered, he had the an early onset of kidney failure and his mouth was a mess. He received better care at the Animal Rescue Network than he did living with his former family unfortunately... The shelter took care of getting Maëlan back on his feet and giving him a better life. His early onset of kidney failure means that he has to receive fluids almost every day. Despite this, he is doing very well and loves humans. He is very curious and affectionate! He is a real treasure. Maëlan is a real little glutton. He really went through hell to get to us and is now looking for his forever family. Who will have a big heart and want to welcome Maëlan into their life? Maëlan is an adult cat so the adoption fees for him are $270. He is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. He tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and for the feline leukaemia virus (FeLV). Health insurances are offered for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the help of the adoption team as long as you need it.
