There are many ways you can help us to help the cats and dogs of Montreal,
including adopting, fostering , sponsoring, making a donation,
and volunteering at the shelter.

A word from the Animal Rescue Network (ARN)
Due to the rising costs such as veterinary care, food, medications, rent and the cost of living in general, adoption fees will be increased from 150$ to 160$ as of July 1st, 2015. This will be the first increase in adoption fees by the ARN in the last seven years. The Animal Rescue Network is a non-profit organization run solely by volunteers whose goal is to give a second chance to abandoned or abused cats. The network includes a no-kill shelter and foster homes whose goal is to save, sterilize and house cats, provide medical and emotional care and facilitate adoptions of cats in its care. The ARN also provides community education and awareness to improve the quality of life of our pets and works towards creating a world without undesired cats. We thank you for your continued support. Cordially, Adoption team

When Coconut was abandoned at the shelter in May 2011, he was a perfectly normal xharming young cat. There was no doubt that he would be quickly adopted. All of a sudden, his tear duct was obstructed. This situation was only detected when poor Coconut had conjunctivitis. Unfortunately, it was already too late to save his eye. To save his remaining eye, artificial tears (several times a day) and daily medications are required for the rest of his life. An operation is a possibility, but it is too expensive (approximately $2,000) and success is not guaranteed. Please help ensure sweet Coconut’s quality of life. He needs you and he needs your love! |
